Day with my daughter

Yesterday my daughter and I had a tiny spontaneous photo shoot during the day and then last night got our craft on!!

We both rocked out some Tim Holtz distress inks and had very stained hands but I wouldn't have it any other way after some awesomeness!!
My card is using Stampin Up cardstock (not sure of the color sorry) and Echo Park paper, Tim Holtz inks and stamps!

What's on my table Wednesday

No matter if I'm in my craft room or in the living room or even at work I always have several projects going! I have a table next the couch that has a few of my projects I've been working on and I thought I was share what's on my table today!!

I've got a scarf started, a washcloth, centers to one of my year long afghan projects, and a never ending granny square for this pay if forward 2013 handmade thing I'm doing this year! I'm also in the process of reading the Bible so it's there also to read!

I work on all these items and a few other things most day! I have problems! LOL

Mini Album

I've had this Echo Park paper pack for awhile and I have had the urge to make a mini album so this weekend I finally got to it! I made the album part out of 6x6 pieces of black card stock and taped 3 sides only so that I could have a little pocket (I love pockets in minis!) This is just a taste of the cover and 2 pages and the back! I love it! Can't wait to get it done and get some pictures for it but knowing myself I'll finish it and that's as far as I will get! Either way I'm loving it and having a blast putting it together!

A little organizing....

With 3 afghan projects and 3 quilt projects going plus many many many other projects going I have had to become organized! Normally I am a fly by the seat of my pants type of girl but I can't do that with the amount of things I'm working on! I thought I would share a few ways I am organizing so many things!
This here is my board of projects...not all of them are listed either.....I break it down into weekly blanket requirements and the other random projects I am working on! Every week I look in my notebook and see what needs to get done in the month and divide that number by 4 and that's my weekly goal!!
Here's my notebook that everything I need to know for my blankets are written in here. This afghan I already  have broken down to what I want to get done everything month but the other ones I fill in the first week of the month I have decided!

This is how I am storing my quilt blocks and fabric!! Scrapbook paper holders to the rescue!! I had them sitting around not being used so used they are now!! I love this little cubicle holder thing, I got these 2 shelves and my husband made a rodent guinea pig cage out of the rest
This is the quilt block I shared last week. I am storing it for now in that little plastic container. As it gets bigger I will just take the other basket out for good. The cloth basket holds all the colors I am using minus the white border. The little box is my centers

I'm making 2 afghans with these colors so for now the centers for both will go in here. I know how many I need for each color and for one of the afghans (I still can't decide on the size for one of them)

For the other random projects I am working on....a little clear container with what it is and the size hook, I tend to forget what size I am using and have to frog the project!
This is my constant companion in my bag. I take it with me when I go to work and when we run errands and my husband is driving I work on centers or any other small project!

The coolest afghan on the block...

This year I have decided to make a total of 6 blankets. 3 are quilts and 3 are crochet afghans! I have started 2 of the 3 afghans but wanted to share the one I started for our bed! I haven't made anything for our bed in the 11 yrs we've been married so I thought why not now!! So I got started on it yesterday!! The large granny square has a total of 12 rounds and the little ones have just 2 rounds!! I am so thrilled by the colors and the layout I am going to be doing! Here's a little taste!
